Thanks!

My heart is spilling over with gratitude for all the kindnesses that have been shown to me and my family during this illness. It has been an overwhelming outpouring of love, compassion and care that has ministered to my spirit like nothing else could. It has been good medicine!

For every visit, card, meal, gift, hug, donation of blood or platelets and, most especially, for every heartfelt prayer – THANK YOU! You will never, ever know the loving balm it was to my heart, how much it meant, or how often I have remembered it with a grateful heart. When I count my blessings, your faces come to mind, and it always makes me smile!

    Lori,
Many years ago I would look forward to getting your Dad’s weekly bulletins. He was such a gifted writer, and I see the Gift has been passed down to his daughter. Almost 8 years ag0, I received a call from Barbara’s doctor, telling me her tests were positive and that she had breast problems. I had to break the news to her on her birthday. The doctors helped her, and God has healed her. She has been free of any problem for over seven years.
We love you…praying for you…believing with you, looking forward to all the GOOD reports. In June of 1951, I was driving a car from Houston to Port Arthur. Suddenly, the Word of God came to me. God said, “I am going to put my word in your mouth–even the WORD OF FAITH. I had never heard these words from anyone. Arriving in Port Arthur, I went to my little church, looked up the Scripture in Romans 10:8. I formed the Word of Faith, Inc. in the State of Texas in October, 1951. Our church in New Orleans area is still based on this corporation. You are such an outstanding writer! Again, much love!

Now, we are speaking the Word of Faith for you.

    Lori,
Your Dad was a great writer, and I see the gift has been passed to his daughter. We love you. Praying and believing for you. I think the other “epistle” I sent was too long.

    Lori,

God almighty will see you through this illness, so keep fighting because He promised us that he will never leave us nor forsake us. I have the faith that He will fulfill his promises in Jesus Name Amen.

    Dear Lori
Pastor Steve (your brother) gave the church the good news on June 22nd and my husband and I are praying for you. I have sickle cell anaemia all my life and I had to deal with it from an early age. When I was in my late teens, I told my mother (Noel – she is in Kenya) that I needed to stop taking medicine and that God will bless me and grant me good health.
I am still standing here and have not taken any medicines for over fifteen years. I now that this is not much. Keep your chin up and you know that you have the most powerful doctor in your corner – The Lord Jesus Christ. All you have to do is keep up the good fight.

    Dear Lori,
Remember that you’re a child of God so sickness or pain does not belong to your body. It is HIS promise to all HIS children.

Today is your birthday and I celebrate it with you. Not only are you the best sister I could have ever wanted or needed but you are my very best friend. God is with you, He is in you, He is holding your hand and your heart. He will lead you. I celebrate all your God given talents, and writing certainly is one of them. You have touched me (and many others) with your spirit and your love and I couldn’t ever have asked for more. Thank you for being “you.”

    Lori,

Our daughter, Cara, gave me your website. I am so blessed by your faith and by God’s faithfulness. You do have a “gift” for writing and I believe you should publish them as a Journal.

We will lift you up to our Lord, knowing that He has already made His presence known and had His healing hand on you. Praise God!

    Blessings, love and peace!
